Nominations Now Being Accepted for the 38th Annual National Philanthropy Day

The vibrant spirit of giving and community support will take center stage at the 38th annual National Philanthropy Day awards program and celebration on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, from 5:00–7:30 p.m., at the Santa Barbara Zoo.

 

Dedicated to honoring the outstanding philanthropists, business leaders, individuals, and organizations shaping the landscape of Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties, this prestigious event promises an evening of inspiration and recognition.

 

Nominations are now open for the 2024 National Philanthropy Day awards, shining a spotlight on those whose unwavering generosity enriches the fabric of our communities. Individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations are encouraged to submit nominations across an array of distinguished categories, including:

 

  • Philanthropist of the Year, Santa Barbara County
  • Philanthropist of the Year, Ventura County
  • Volunteer of the Year, Santa Barbara County
  • Volunteer of the Year, Ventura County
  • Professional Fundraiser of the Year
  • Youth in Philanthropy
  • Champions for Social Justice

Presented by the Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), National Philanthropy Day stands as a testament to the power of generosity and collective impact. With over 200 honorees celebrated since its inception in 1987, this esteemed event continues to serve as a beacon of hope and inspiration for generations to come.

 

Molly Kemper, Chair of National Philanthropy Day, shares her enthusiasm for the occasion, stating, “National Philanthropy Day is such a special and joyful opportunity for the nonprofit community to celebrate some of its most influential contributors.
