The Mental Health Practitioner will provide counseling and psychotherapy services to children and family members with a broad range of behavioral wellness indicators. Provides crisis assessment and crisis intervention. Conducts assessments of parents and children within the program and develops and implements therapeutic treatment plan or other plans; and carries out programs to enable children to attain maximum achievement and adjustment. Provides guidance to AFLP staff for successful treatment processes.
REQUIRES: LMFT or LCSW required. Experience in early childhood and youth parenting issues; must have strong observation, assessment, treatment planning and psychotherapeutic skills; is eager to learn and is open/accepting of feedback for personal and professional growth. Strong computer skills with knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license. A valid California Driver’s license with current auto insurance is required. Ability to speak Spanish preferred. Skilled in working with young children and families.
We currently have two Mental Health Practitioner positions open with flexible hours and the ability to work from home. One position is a part-time, regular position working 30 hours per week with benefits and starts out at $40 per hour and the other position is a contracted position that will work 10-22 hours per week and starts out at $150 per hour.
