I have a background in both philosophy and restoration ecology, I have been serving as the Executive Director of the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden since December 2010. My hobby is woodworking - I particularly enjoy making furniture from trees that fall in the Garden. I am married to Pamme Mickelson and have 2 adult stepdaughters.
