Description:Responsible for directing and leading all organizational fundraising efforts. Direct fundraising and donor relations including: managing fundraising appeals, identifying and securing new funding sources including major gift solicitation, local businesses and community support, grants, and spearheading special events.Raise funds, meet or surpass fundraising targetsDevelop and implement annual work plans; create and monitor annual budget and expenses.Create plans and programming to refine major donors and increase participation.Create plans and programming to increase participation in our recurring donor group.Manage a portfolio of donors/prospects.Provide support to board members and volunteers.Assure progress in identifying annual donors who could be major gift prospects.Research potential donors to gain insightAssist in brainstorming and creating new methods to raise fundsLeverage technology/social mediaAssist in planning and coordinating events to raise fundsAnalyze the performance of events/fundraisingMaintain complete and orderly records of donors and manage regular donor communicationsBuild upon existing donor relationships, form new donor relationshipsSkills & Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree: communication, public relations, journalism or related area• Exemplary communication abilities and outgoing, yet poised personality• Organizational abilities• Three-five years successful fundraising experience• Understanding of fundraising regulations/accepted best practices.• Knowledge and experience using standard methods/tools of fundraising.• Microsoft Office Suite• Experience with donor/prospect databases, preferably Little Green Light.Details:• 20-25 hours/week with potential to evolve into a full-time position.• Compensation: Dependent on experience; paid sick leave, paid holidays.• Start between June 1st-July 1st.• Reply with your cover letter, resume, two writing samples, salary history and three references
