The 805UndocuFund is a collective effort among Ventura and Santa Barbara County-based trusted grassroots organizations (MICOP,CAUSE and Future Leaders of Americas) aimed at ensuring that local undocumented immigrant individuals and families who are excluded from federally funded safety net programs, and that have been economically impacted by disasters in our community like wildfires, mudslides, and the COVID-19 pandemic, not only have the resources to recover from disaster, but are also part of recovery efforts and planning for the next disaster. Since its creation in 2018, the 805UndocuFund has not only distributed over $8.3M to 6,147 families but has also become a trusted and familiar source of support for the immigrant community when disaster hits.
