Partnership for Excellence 2024

Inspire, engage, fundraise

Join us this fall to learn how everyone involved in your organization has a role in fundraising.

Partnership for Excellence continues its mission to cultivate spaces to invite nonprofit organizations and foundations into community conversations among the Santa Barbara County social sector. Generously sponsored by The Foundation Roundtable members, this year the Partnership for Excellence (PFE) celebrates over 30 years of learning, connecting, and collaborating.

How will we plan fundraising activities and investment to optimize resources and ensure success for community programs?  At PFE, we’ll explore current trends, research, and leading practices to help nonprofits and funders prioritize your best strategies to invest and raise monies.

Our conference keynote and afternoon dialogue are poised to offer comprehensive insights into today’s fundraising landscape and what the future of fundraising looks like. They’ll provide practical guidance and inspiration, empowering organizations to enhance their fundraising efforts amidst dynamic environments.

  • What information and tools can we use to optimize our fundraising and investments?
  • How do we use evidence to plan our work?
  • What types of data and research are useful?
  • What can we learn from each other’s experiences to make real impact (as donors, funders, organizational leaders) in our communities?

“Fundraising is the gentle art of teaching the joy of giving.”

The theme for this year’s Partnership for Excellence (PFE) conference is “Inspire, Engage, Fundraise.” This year’s unique one-day conference is dedicated to advancing your fundraising efforts through peer networking, latest trends, and data-informed practices. The program is specially designed for passionate leaders like you, who possess the vision and basic skills and face the challenge of limited time to implement your many ideas and strategies.

Our conference keynote and afternoon dialogue will offer valuable insights into today’s fundraising landscape and what might shape its future. Explore how to streamline your processes, prioritize your activities, and focus on what truly matters to your donors and programs.

Join us in a welcoming space that fosters genuine connections, strategic collaborations, and dynamic opportunities for solutions. Walk away feeling energized and ready to apply effective approaches in your organization or foundation.

PFE Learning Objectives – Engaging In Real Conversations to:

  • Develop an awareness of the various types of evidence that can be used as an indicator of effective fundraising strategies, and how this information can guide an impactful program.
  • Better understand what donors/funders are seeking to achieve and how to engage them through activities that connect them meaningfully to nonprofits.
  • Learn about the range of readily available tools, what data is most helpful to collect, and how to use information to build and implement donor strategy immediately in your organization
  • Share experiences and insights toward the future of fundraising through a live dialogue featuring funders and nonprofit leaders

These dedicated volunteer advisors played a vital role in co-creating this year’s program theme and vision. Their thoughtful discussions and recommendations helped guide the program intentions to prioritize accessibility, connection and wellness for all PFE guests.
