Access
- PFE partners with All Languages Interpreting and Translating, Inc. to provide Spanish and English materials, promotions, and live interpretation. Please indicate your preference for this service in your registration form.
- The Santa Ynez Valley Marriott is a fully ADA accessible facility. If you have questions, please email partnershipforexcellence@gmail.com or complete the ADA request form here by September 4. All reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate participants.
Transportation and Directions
- Yes, North and South County guests, PFE has your ease and access in mind. Catch a free ride on an air-conditioned, wifi accessible SB AirBus charter from Santa Barbara or Santa Maria. You can skip driving and enjoy your experience beginning to end with colleague connections along the way. “Opt in” during registration to reserve your spot on the PFE charter bus.
- If you must drive, find directions here. Whichever transportation you choose, all registrants commit to stay onsite for the full day program.
- When you “opt in” for free air-conditioned/wifi PFE AirBus charter, your space is reserved and we are counting on you at the ride. Santa Barbara and Santa Maria riders must be at their preferred meeting location before the pick up timeswill not wait for late arrivals.

Busses will depart at scheduled times and will not wait for late arrivals/ departures.
- We recommend you “opt in” for free, roundtrip air-conditioned/wifi chartered SB AirBus rides. Charters from Santa Maria and Santa Barbara are available.
- At the Marriott, free parking is available in the onsite parking lot. For ADA access, please park at the back of the building on the ground floor and proceed to conference ballroom. At the end of the day, SB AirBus charters will depart back to Santa Maria and Santa Barbara at 4:15 PM
- If you must drive yourself to the Santa Ynez Valley Marriott, plan to arrive at 8:30 –8:45 AM (find directions here). Whether you opt-in for air-conditioned/ wifi SB AirBus, or choose to drive a private vehicle, all registrants commit to stay the full day onsite.
- If you must drive yourself (or carpool) to the Santa Ynez Valley Marriott, plan to arrive by 9:00 AM (directions here) Free parking is available at the lot onsite.
- Whether you opt-in for SB AirBus or opt-out to drive a private vehicle, all registrants commit to stay the full day onsite.

$125 per person. A limited number of scholarships are available based on financial need and community access. See our PFE Scholarship Form here
- By generosity of The Foundation Roundtable sponsors, a number of scholarships are available for financial need and community access. Scholarship application deadline is Wednesday, August 21, 2024. Scholarship awards will be announced by Thursday, August 29, 2024.
PFE welcomes up to three (3) persons to register per organization. We encourage organizations to register persons from multiple county locations and staff roles.
- Registration closes Wednesday, September 4, 2024. No registrations will be accepted after this date. Registration is not available onsite. A Wait List will be available if PFE sells out prior to September 4, 2024.
- Registration fees include free, roundtrip air-conditioned/wifi PFE AirBus service to and from the venue from Santa Maria and Santa Barbara, full-day program, networking opportunities with 250+ foundation/nonprofit guests, program materials, buffet lunch, morning coffee/refreshments and afternoon networking reception.

You will be provided a code to register after your payment is received.
- Registration cancellation requests must be received in writing by email to partnershipforexcellence@gmail.com by September 3, 2024. Email requests must include registrant’s name, organization, email, phone, original method of payment, and last 4-digits of credit card. Requests received by the deadline will be confirmed by email and processed for full refund after September 17, 2024. No credits are available and no refund approvals after September 4, 2024. Refunds are not available for weather nor PFE rescheduled date due to severe events.

Event Logistics
This year’s program will be in the Santa Ynez Valley Marriott ballroom (indoors). Lunch will be outdoors on the Terrace. While we hope for beautiful weather, please plan ahead to be both inside and outside. Outdoors, participants may be exposed to sun/limited shade. PFE strongly recommends the following:
- Dress in light layers
- Bring a hat and/ or sunglasses for sun protection, a small, closeable bag/backpack for your belongings; and a reusable mug for hot/cold beverages throughout the day
Sunscreen will be provided. If you have questions about this hotel venue or to make an ADA request, please email partnershipforexcellence@gmail.com by August 27, 2024. We are happy to speak with you and make all reasonable efforts to accommodate participants.
- PFE starts at 9:30am (8:30 am for networking) and ends at 4:00 pm. Opt-in for free, roundtrip transportation! Air-conditioned/ wifi PFE AirBus charters leave from Santa Maria at 8:15am and Santa Barbara at 8:00am. Riders, please arrive to your pick up location early. If you opt-out of free SB AirBus charters to drive your own vehicle, please arrive at the Marriott by 9:00 am.

Whether you come and return via free PFE AirBus charter or private vehicle, all registrants commit to stay the full day onsite. Plan to stay the day!
- Morning coffee and refreshments, lunch, and afternoon reception are all included. Water and beverages will be available throughout the day. Please bring a reusable hot/cold beverage bottle. If you have specific food allergies, please email partnershipforexcellence@gmail.com by August 27, 2024.
- PFE will provide vegan and gluten-free lunch selections. If your dietary restrictions are not accommodated within these options, or you have specific food allergies, please email partnershipforexcellence@gmail.com by August 27.
- PFE strongly encourages guests to embrace unplugging for the day to commit to absorbing all aspects of the program. We hope this will be a valued feature of the event, but acknowledge that this may raise challenges. All attendees appreciate your intentional participation in our “unplug” value of the day.
- You can access emails/wifi on the SB AirBus during your “opt-in” roundtrip ride to PFE! Please take the necessary steps to alert your team that you will be offline for the day. We hope this will be a valued feature of the event but acknowledge that this may raise some anxieties. All attendees will appreciate your participation in our “unplug” value of the day. Thank you!
- No, to optimize your learning and our staff, we do not accommodate late morning arrivals or early departures. We have adjusted the start/end times of PFE in an effort to accommodate travel time and guests with morning/afternoon family commitments. Whether you come and return via free air-conditioned SB AirBus or private vehicle, all registrants commit to the program day onsite. Plan to stay the day — and enjoy!
