Santa Barbara County, CA (August 9, 2021) – YouthWell presents Learn About Meaningful Volunteer Opportunities for Teens, a free virtual workshop on Sunday, August 22nd, 4:30 – 6:00 pm.
Evidence shows volunteering helps people manage stress, feel connected and increases self-confidence. Students (ages 10-25), parents, caregivers, and teachers are invited to learn from the Non-Profit Panel of 20+ Santa Barbara County organizations about how students can create meaningful ways to volunteer and do community service. (A list of participating organizations can be found at YouthWell.org/workshops.)
Completing volunteer hours is more than checking a box off the to-do list. It’s learning about the joy of volunteering, learning new skills, and an opportunity to grow and discover new passions. This workshop will help students identify areas of interest that are meaningful to them.
