Leading From Within is excited to welcome two new members to its Board of Directors: Jordan Killebrew, E.D. of Public Affairs & Communications at SBCC, and Lori Lander Goodman, CEO of LEAP. “Both are alumni of our programs who bring tremendous leadership, experience, and commitment to our LFW community and Santa Barbara County as a whole,” said Katya Armistead, Co-Executive Director. “We could not be more thrilled to have them join the board.”
Jordan Killebrew (he, him, his) has an abnormal love of community. He currently serves as Executive Director of Public Affairs & Communications at Santa Barbara City College. Previously, he served as Santa Barbara County District 2 Representative, working with County Supervisor Laura Capps and at the Santa Barbara Foundation in the capacity of Director of Communications, where in both roles, his work resembled his passion for strategy, public relations, and relationship building. Jordan also founded Project IV Love, the inspiration that helped raise over $50k for the Love and Remembrance Garden in Isla Vista in its inaugural year. This garden is a community effort that honors the students who lost their lives in the Isla Vista shootings in 2014.
Jordan brings his passion for community to his work with local organizations, including as a co-founder of Juneteenth Santa Barbara and through his involvement with Healing Justice Santa Barbara and Music Academy. Jordan holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Jordan participated in Leading From Within’s Emerging Leaders program in 2017 and just completed the Growing Edge Leaders program. Learn more about Jordan at JordanKillebrew.com.
