Golden Inn & Village in Santa Ynez honors own Class of 2016 with anniversary celebration

Nineteen seniors at The Golden Inn & Village celebrate their fifth year as residents of the housing community during an anniversary celebration held Friday in Santa Ynez. “Graduating” seniors toss up their caps in celebration.

Nineteen residents at the Golden Inn & Village were thrown a graduation ceremony of their own Friday to mark five years since the housing facility opened its doors and welcomed the senior group.

The Golden Inn & Village — home to 62 low-income and very-low-income seniors — was established by the Rona Barrett Foundation in November 2016, also when the 19 original residents moved in.

“We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Golden Inn & Village than to honor the original residents who were here the day we opened our doors,” said Rona Barrett, CEO and founder of The Rona Barrett Foundation… (more)
