Funny, passionate and insightful, Cat Alvarado is a stand-up comedian who jokes about growing up in a conservative, church-going family, getting married and divorced by age 21, and finding her way in life after getting kicked out of church. Cat has over 2 million views on Youtube from the popular Youtube Channel, The Reel Rejects, was featured on Buzzfeed’s Tasty channel, and was on the PBS show First Nations Comedy Experience. About Women Making Change: In recognition of March as Women’s History Month, the Alcazar Theatre will present an entire month of comprehensive and diverse programming celebrating the theme of “Women Making Change.” Feature performances will include female musicians, artists, comedians and poets, as well as screening of documentaries and films that amplify the accomplishments and legacies of women historically and in the present, and will showcase speakers and panelists who will address and illuminate critical issues affecting women and girls.
