Santa Barbara, CA – The Cancer Foundation of Santa Barbara, the leading fundraising and grant-making institution in Santa Barbara County dedicated to cancer care, has published its 2025 Annual Report. The report is available online at https://cfsb.org/publications/

In 2025, the Foundation provided $4.2 million to support programs at Ridley-Tree Cancer Center. The report features testimonials from patients who benefited from these programs. Additionally, the Foundation provided $207,000 to assist community programs and services across Santa Barbara County that provide resources for individuals navigating cancer.

Some highlights from the 2025 report:

  • For the second consecutive year, the Cancer Foundation funded 100% of Ridley-Tree Cancer Center’s unrestricted program grant request for patient supportive care programs.
  • The Foundation also awarded inaugural grants to Hospice of Santa Barbara and Organic Soup Kitchen, expanding its reach to include two new community partners dedicated to providing supportive care services for cancer patients in our community.
  • On the leadership side, the Foundation welcomed Dan Greenwald, MD, as a new member of the Cancer Foundation Board of Trustees, bringing valuable oncology expertise to its team.
  • This year also marked the launch of the Foundation’s new collaborative educational series with the Ridley-Tree Cancer Center research department, featuring Dr. Erin Gillespie of Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, who presented on her clinical research on cancer and bone metastases.

“Every year, I am reminded of how fortunate Santa Barbara County is to have a community that shows up for cancer patients year after year,” shared Lori Willis, Executive Director of the Cancer Foundation. “In 2025, that generosity allowed us to fund 100% of Ridley-Tree Cancer Center’s unrestricted program grant request for the second consecutive year, ensuring that every patient who walked through the cancer center’s doors had access to the support they needed throughout their cancer journey. We are grateful to every donor who makes this work possible.”
