The Santa Barbara Museum of Art, a leading West Coast art museum, presents internationally-recognized collections and exhibitions and a broad array of cultural and educational activities. The Museum is seeking a self-motivated and talented Web and Media Specialist. The position reports to the Director of IT and is responsible for web design, development, and content updates on all of our web presences for the Santa Barbara Museum of Art including our main website (www.sbma.net), online store (www.sbmastore.net), and various social networking sites.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of education/professional training in web development or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience, and one year of experience in all aspects of web development from graphic design to code production. Position duties include complete management of website content including graphic design, designing/developing HTML e-mail campaigns, managing our digital media including HD video with web conversion, and developing future functionality. Applicant must feel comfortable coding HTML/CSS without the use of WYSIWYG and also have PHP/JavaScript programming knowledge. Working knowledge of web development tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, etc.) required. Database experience with mySQL and/or SQL Server a plus. Please see job description for full details.

- Schedule: 40 hours per week
- Wage: $25/hour
