We are searching for a compassionate, talented on-call Program Specialists to work with our participants in an adult day care setting serving aging and dependent adults, including those with dementia and or physical/developmental disabilities.
Our ideal Program Specialist will enjoy working with older adults, have positive and effective communication skills and will work well with other center staff, participants, volunteers, and families, and will have a can-do attitude and pitch in to do whatever is needed.
The Program Specialist:
-Assists in developing, planning and leading fun program activities for individual participants and groups of participants both in-person and/or thru a virtual format.
-Performs a variety of functions related to the overall operation of our center including, but not limited to; assisting with food service, special events, classroom activities, excursions, participant care, maintenance, and cleaning following COVID-19 protocol.
Requirements include First Aid and CPR certification prior to starting, a physical and TB clearance, a clean driving record with valid driver’s license and insurance, and criminal record clearance. Experience working with elders or those with disabilities preferred.
Position will be on-call with varying hours between 8 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday. NO WEEKENDS!
