This is an exciting opportunity to work with committed community stakeholders focused on advancing the safety and quality of life for youth, their families and the community in Santa Barbara County’s south coast region. The Family and Youth Services Program Manager for the South Coast Youth Safety Partnership Program (SCSYP) serves as the lead of over 30 community stakeholders focused on advancing the safety and quality of life for youth, their families, and the community in Santa Barbara County’s south coast region. The Program Manager serves as the lead staff, implementing policy decisions and outcomes of the Policy Team, Strategy Team, and Community Engagement Team of the South Coast Task Youth Safety Partnership.

The ideal candidate for this position holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human or Social Services, Social Work, or a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of the operations, services, and activities of youth gang programs, neighborhood services, and social programs is required. Two (2) years of direct experience in managing government-funded programs, including program and budget planning, is highly desired.

The SCYSP Program Manager should be able to meet the following requirements:

  • Able to identify resource information pertinent to community and neighborhood needs.
  • Skilled in working with youth and young adults from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Knowledgeable of budget preparation and control principles.
  • Engages and mobilizes the community in developing and implementing a comprehensive and unified strategy to address the root causes of youth violence and gang affiliation.

This position is full-time with a starting annual salary between $64,480 – $74,000 DOE. The position is located in Goleta, with Countywide travel required.
