Executive & Philanthropic Coordinator — Part-Time
Santa Barbara | Approximately 20 hours/week | $35–$60/hour + performance-based bonus
The AI Artists Alliance and its founder are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and personable professional for a unique part-time position combining nonprofit program coordination with executive support.
The AI Artists Alliance is a Santa Barbara-based nonprofit initiative that brings together artists, educators, and community leaders to explore the impact of artificial intelligence on art, human creativity, society, and the environment.
This is a varied, hands-on position. The person we hire will become a trusted partner in helping manage the Alliance’s activities as well as other philanthropic and community projects of its founder.
Responsibilities include:
- Helping coordinate AI Artists Alliance programs, artists, meetings, and community activities
- Keeping multiple projects, relationships, deadlines, and commitments organized
- Managing calendars, appointments, communications, and follow-up
- Managing and posting social media content
- Communicating with artists, educators, community leaders, and professional contacts
- Helping organize private salons and other events, including setup and coordination with caterers and vendors
- Conducting research and assisting with special projects
- Accompanying the founder on three morning planning walks each week that serve as working meetings to discuss priorities, ideas, and ongoing projects
We are looking for someone who:
- Is exceptionally organized and enjoys managing multiple projects
- Writes and communicates extremely well
- Has excellent judgment and interpersonal skills
- Is warm, professional, and comfortable interacting with a wide range of people
- Takes initiative and doesn’t need to be told every next step
- Follows through reliably
- Is comfortable with technology, social media, and AI tools
- Is intellectually curious and interested in meaningful community work
Experience in nonprofit work, executive assistance, project coordination, events, communications, social media, art, or education would be valuable.
However, we are more interested in finding someone with the right combination of intelligence, judgment, initiative, organizational ability, and interpersonal skills than someone with a particular career background.
This could be an especially rewarding position for someone interested in art, artificial intelligence, philanthropy, education, and community engagement who wants substantive part-time work.
Location: Santa Barbara; combination of in-person and remote work
Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week. Availability in Santa Barbara for three morning planning walks each week is required.
Compensation: $35–$60 per hour depending on experience, plus performance-based bonus.
