Is responsible for supervising a multidisciplinary Program Support Team and is part of the Planning and Development Team. Supervises a team which provides expert guidance to the program in meeting and exceeding standards, manages program written materials and maintains various program systems. The team provides multidisciplinary resources and training in all program areas. The team supports centers and home educators in the delivery of services for children and families and interfaces with the community in a variety of coordinated efforts. As a member of the Planning and Development Team, the Education Manager provides leadership in the planning, development and implementation of new initiatives and special projects.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages Program Support Specialists who provide support and direction to site staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
REQUIRES: Masters in Management and Administration, Human Development, Public Health, Education, Human Services, Psychology, or a related field And 3-5 years management/leadership experience in programs, preferably in a non-profit, community-based health, social services or educational organization OR BA in Management and Administration, Human Development, Public Health, Nutrition, Human Services, Psychology, or a related field and 5 years management/leadership experience in programs (of similar size and complexity as that operated at CAC) preferably in a non-profit, community-based health, social services or educational organization. Strong computer skills. Valid California driver’s license with current insurance coverage and an acceptable driving record. Bilingual highly desirable.
