Driver & Transportation Coordinator

Wilderness Youth Project (WYP) equips students with self-confidence, problem-solving abilities and skills to work with others. WYP staff bring many years of naturalist experience, wilderness safety, social justice, teaching, mentoring and nonprofit administration.
Join us as a Driver & Transportation Coordinator This role serves as a key player in getting kids to WYP’s programming by providing transportation services to working families and helping keep our fleet of vans clean and running smoothly. Examples of roles include: drive transportation routes in AM/PM, bring supplemental snacks to drop off locations, respond to varied requests of program/office staff, and shuttling vans to/from mechanics when repairs are needed.
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years with a valid driver license (required)
- Current CA drivers license/satisfactory driving record (required)
- Experience driving larger vehicles (desired)
- Ability to respond to texts/emails promptly & coordinate with staff/parents (required)
- Bilingual English/Spanish (speaking/texting) strongly preferred but not required
Compensation: $20 – $23 an hour depending on experience. Temporary/seasonal summer position of 3 months (June – Aug 2025), 20-25 hours a week, with opportunity to develop into a regular part-time position (up to 15 hours a week) for 2025/26 school year.
