Isla Vista Youth Projects (IVYP) is seeking a social-justice oriented, collaborative, committed, entrepreneurial and detail-oriented Director of Development to lead our development effort. Key responsibilities include: implement and manage our fund development plan, supervise and manage grant writer, cultivate and steward donors, and oversee marketing and communications. About IVYP: IVYP (becoming LEAP Learn. Engage. Advocate. Partner.) mitigates the effects of poverty, racism and trauma by providing high-quality, trauma-informed child care, comprehensive, culturally-sensitive family support, and visionary community leadership. Our direct service programs include our Children’s Center (serving 120 infants, toddlers and preschoolers in two locations) and our Family Resource Center (serving thousands of individuals in Goleta, Isla Vista, and throughout the Central Coast.)
About the Position: Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Development (DD) leads our development team to implement the agency fund development plan. The DD will work collaboratively with the ED, the Assistant Executive Director and program leads to secure private and public support for IVYP from individuals, corporations, foundations and government entities. The DD will develop an operations plan for development, including donor cultivation and stewardship; grant applications, grant reports and funder relations; and special events. The DD will oversee agency marketing and communications efforts, including newsletters, annual report, social media, and brand management. The Development Director will participate as a member of the agency executive leadership team and will assume a strategic role in the overall management. The successful candidate will be a team player who shows initiative, has passion for IVYP’s mission and has a track record of success in grants management, fund development and marketing.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary range is $80,000 – $100,000 and will be determined on the basis of experience. Benefit package includes employer contribution to health insurance, paid sick, vacation, and personal time, an employer match to our 403b retirement plan, and Basic Term Life insurance.
