We seek an experienced communications/marketing/development professional. This is an hourly, non-exempt position that works with a development team and reports to our Director of Development. This position is responsible for supporting fundraising initiatives and activities to meet the revenue goals of the organization, e.g. creating all communication and marketing materials, fundraising events, planned and annual giving campaigns, individual donor identification and cultivation, grant writing, foundation and corporate development. Combination of education and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the essential functions of the job. Preferably 3 years’ experience with a nonprofit communications/development department that included marketing, event fund raising, grant writing, and general development. Familiarity with the Benevon model of fundraising a plus. Ability to develop and maintain relationships with supporters and the broader community in line with the mission and vision of Alpha Resource Center in order to enhance the visibility of the organization and further our strategic goals.
Organizational skills for event and campaign planning and keeping fundraising calendar. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to work independently with careful attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to be organized, proactive and results driven. Competency with computers and upkeep of donor database. Ability to coordinate and utilize volunteers within the organization.

Range is $20-$25 per hour, D.O.E.
