The Mental Wellness Center (MWC) is seeking a dynamic, visionary Chief Executive Officer to lead our organization at a pivotal moment for mental health services.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will guide strategy, strengthen financial sustainability, and expand MWC’s impact across Santa Barbara County. This is a unique opportunity for an emotionally intelligent, relationship-driven leader to shape the future of behavioral health in our community.

Key Priorities are to lead the team to:
- Deepen community impact and refine service delivery
- Elevate MWC’s voice as a trusted regional leader
- Strengthen and diversify long-term funding
What You’ll Do:
- Set and execute a clear organizational vision in partnership with the Board and Leadership Team
- serve as MWC’s chief ambassador and champion fundraising efforts and
- Ensure strong financial and operational performance of a $6M+ organization
- Attract, grow, and lead a high-performing, mission-driven team and culture
Who You Are:
- 10+ years of senior leadership experience
- Proven fundraiser and relationship builder
- Strategic thinker who can translate vision into results
- Strong financial and operational acumen
- Passion for mental health and community impact
- Experience in behavioral health or human services and familiarity with Santa Barbara County
Salary Range: $175,000–$225,000 (DOE)
