Panelists will discuss lessons learned in serving undocumented residents that fellow nonprofits and school/government agencies can apply in working with immigrant clients. The conversation will also explore how disasters illustrate underlying socio-economic factors and systemic barriers that must be addressed before, during, and after disaster.

- Event Description: The panelists will discuss 805 UndocuFund’s experience distributing more than $8M in one time disaster cash assistance to more than 16,0000 undocumented Central Coast residents who were affected these past four years by COVID-19 and major wildfires. They will also explore how these disasters illustrate underlying socio-economic factors and larger systemic barriers that repeatedly affect these Californians before, during, and after disasters.
