If you work with the immigrant community, please join this panel presentation by the 805 UndocuFund on May 18. Panelists will discuss lessons learned in serving undocumented residents that fellow nonprofits and school/government agencies can apply in working with immigrant clients. The conversation will also explore how disasters illustrate underlying socio-economic factors and systemic barriers that must be addressed before, during, and after disaster.

  • Event Description: The panelists will discuss 805 UndocuFund’s experience distributing more than $8M in one time disaster cash assistance to more than 16,0000 undocumented Central Coast residents who were affected these past four years by COVID-19 and major wildfires. They will also explore how these disasters illustrate underlying socio-economic factors and larger systemic barriers that repeatedly affect these Californians before, during, and after disasters.
