Hear from candidates looking to represent Trustee Areas 1 and 4 of the Santa Barbara Unified School District. This in-person discussion is presented by the League of Women Voters of Santa Barbara (LWVSB) which hosts a series of free, Midterm Election community forums. All forums will be recorded and available later in English and Spanish on the League’s YouTube channel.
To maintain civility and the issue-oriented nature of every LWVSB forum, candidates are not allowed to make negative comments about other candidates’ character or qualifications. Instead, we ask them to address their own qualifications and vision for the office, and their own views on issues facing the City of Santa Barbara.
About the League of Women Voters of Santa Barbara
LWVSB plays a significant role in South Coast communities by registering voters, informing voters about issues, holding candidate forums, and explaining ballot measures. We do not endorse candidates or political parties, but we do take positions on issues through study and consensus. We encourage informed and active participation in government and influence public opinion through education and advocacy. The League of Women Voters of Santa Barbara is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public benefit corporation.
