Rooted Presents: Code Blue Screening + Q&A

Free, Online only
COST: [Free / Donation]
Organizer: Rooted Santa Barbara County

Code Blue follows a passionate physician, Dr. Saray Stancic, as she reflects on her journey from a multiple sclerosis diagnosis to wellness through her own adoption of lifestyle medicine. Dr. Stancic introduces us to expert physicians and scientists who are paving the way to make meaningful and necessary change in our healthcare environment. In turn, they are empowering audiences everywhere to stand up and reclaim control of their health.

Code Blue reveals lapses in the current state of medicine and provides solutions through the practice of lifestyle medicine to prevent, manage, and reverse chronic diseases. The film presents the hurdles faced to the proposed shift: antiquated curricula in medical schools, confusion in the media, inadequate government policies, and the underlying influences of the pharmaceutical and food industries.

How it works:

Registered attendees will receive a link to watch the film for free beginning on Thursday, March 17, 2022.

Once you click on the link, you will have access to the film for a 24 hour period, which automatically ends on March 19, 2022.

We will send a reminder with a link to the event page on March 18th to join Dr. Stancic and executive producer Dilip Barman for a very special live webinar Q&A session on Saturday, March 19th at 10:30am PDT via Zoom.

This film is available for a fee on many popular streaming services. Rooted Santa Barbara County is proud to partner with the Code Blue team and Virgil Films to bring both the film and their team’s important insight to our community for free.

Rooted SBC believes good health and food skills & literacy are a basic human right and we’re working to ensure our classes are low-to-no cost for any community member who needs it.
