Through the generous support of the Santa Barbara Foundation, this workshop is being offered free of charge to staff and board members of nonprofits serving communities in Santa Barbara County.

Do know the elements of a strong nonprofit marketing plan? How can you build such a plan that engages your constituents and meets your organization’s goals?

Marketing plays an important part in nonprofits and their success. In addition to promoting your organization, it can raise awareness of your cause and attract individual and corporate donors, volunteers, and potential staff and board members.

In this workshop, participants will build their understanding of:The key components of an integrated and multi-faceted marketing plan for your nonprofit

  • Storytelling and its role in expanding your nonprofit’s brand awareness
  • Engaging meaningfully with your Board, donors, and volunteers, so they can amplify your organization and its mission
  • Connecting with news outlets to promote your organization

Target Audience: Executive Directors, CEOs, Marketing and Communications staff, Board leaders and staff charged with marketing and outreach

With 20 years of experience in Communications and Marketing, Stephanie has expertise in internal and external communications, web writing, media relations, publications, and social media. She currently serves as a consultant with California State University Channel Islands and California Lutheran University and writes content for the nonprofit Soroptimist International Sedro-Woolley (Wash.).
