About Rooted Santa Barbara County:
Rooted launched in 2019 to fill the nutrition gap in our local healthcare and food sectors and to catalyze a shift in local healthcare from a treatment-based approach to one that leads with prevention and food as medicine. While incubating as a fiscally sponsored organization of the Santa Barbara Foundation, we have built community and grown a meaningful network of local and national partners, supporters, and volunteers committed to mobilizing within our county to grow health equity and resilience through the power of food and lifestyle medicine.
Help us grow a new culture of health in Santa Barbara County through accessible, bilingual nutrition and food skills programs, healthcare training, and system-changing partnerships.
