I Madonnari Street painting Festival

The 40th Annual I Madonnari Street Painting Festival returns to the Old Mission Santa Barbara Memorial Day Weekend, May 23–25, 2026. Hosted by Children’s Creative Project, this free community festival brings together professional and volunteer artists who transform the Mission plaza into a vibrant outdoor gallery of large-scale chalk pastel artwork. The event features live music, food, interactive family activities, and the beloved Kids’ Square. Proceeds support inclusive arts education programs for students across Santa Barbara County.
