California Ocean Summit

Over four days in early December 2026, the conference will be held in Santa Barbara at both the 1,500 seat Granada Theater, the Community Environmental Council Hub, The Film Center of SBIFF and the University of California, Santa Barbara’s nearly completed Ocean Sciences Building (and Kelp Ecosystem Aquarium). Events will include a blue economy startup pavilion, a first-of-its-kind full orchestral music accompaniment to a screening of Ocean with David Attenborough, and panels and speakers on key scientific discoveries, research breakthroughs, funding gaps and opportunities and necessary legislative action.
