All IN FOR CARP KIDS
March 11 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pmFree
The Carpinteria Children’s Project invites friends and supporters to a virtual event benefitting children and families of the Carpinteria Valley. Community leaders and keynote speaker Senator Monique Limón will highlight local critical issues, efforts to support children and families, and how comprehensive family support services are making a difference locally.
All in for Carp Kids will be held virtually via Zoom on March 11, 2021 from 12 – 1 pm. Interested community members are invited to RSVP by calling (805) 566-1600 or registering online at https://carpchildren.org/all-in/. There is no cost to attend thanks to generous sponsors, including Chevron, Carp Growers, Linked Foundation, Cresco Labs, Future Leaders of America, Greenleaf Landscapes, BEGA, Mayra Romero Photography, and Quetzal Designs.
COVID closures meant the organization was unable to collect tuition for six months. Teachers pivoted to providing emergency relief through the Carp Cares phone line, virtual lessons and support to young children in the community, and frequent food distributions and delivery. Since reopening, Carpinteria Children’s Project has a dramatic increase in the number of scholarships requested due to family hardships.
The Carpinteria Children’s Project is dedicated to strengthening children and families by building a culture of success through community partnerships, where all children are successful from the time they are born through their adult life and career. This is accomplished through the early childhood education program, the Family Resource Center, and coordinating collective impact networks that encompass the family and include education, health, and social service agencies.
