CALM is proud to announce that Ashleigh Erving, LCSW, has been promoted to CALM’s Director of Clinical Operations. In this role, Erving is responsible for the operational management of CALM’s comprehensive array of clinical services throughout Santa Barbara County, including program performance, staff supervision, service documentation, contract oversight, and budget management.
As a member of CALM’s Executive Team, she supervises Senior Managers and Program Managers responsible for clinical operations, program services, continuous quality improvement, and office management in Santa Barbara, Santa Maria and Lompoc. She retains oversight for the overall direction, implementation, and evaluation of CALM’s partnerships with medical providers, preschools, early care and education centers, and after-school learning programs.
As a strong relationship builder with experience leading diverse work teams, Erving leads a countywide strategy for clinical excellence, engaging community partners, funders, and staff in all aspects of CALM’s program services.

Erving returned to CALM in 2021, having previously served as an intensive in-home therapist from 2007-09. She brings nearly 20 years of experience having most recently served as the Executive Director of Channel Islands YMCA Youth and Family Services. She also provided leadership at Family Service Agency of Santa Barbara County, instituting data-driven approaches to improve the quality of clinical service delivery and community collaborations. Her previous experiences include family and child abuse counseling, at-risk youth rehabilitation services, and managing family resource centers.
