TV Santa Barbara, the region’s community access media center since 1975, is seeking a proactive and task oriented member coordinator to assist with the production and scheduling of television broadcasts. The member coordinator will help facilitate and schedule in-studio shows, assist with government meeting broadcasts, support member services and will help with channel programming.

This exciting part-time position, with opportunities for growth, will be responsible for supporting the daily activities of the television station while working with TVSB’s member base and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. Must be organized with the ability to communicate rules and establish boundaries. Looking for a relationship builder who can work in a creative environment and wear many hats. He/ she will work with a variety of community members to include students and volunteers.

A background or degree in media, communications and/or video production and 1-2 years of professional experience is required. Ability to set-up and operate video cameras, laptop computers, large screen displays, projectors and other video production equipment and audio visual equipment for video shoots and public meetings. Experience with video editing software preferred. Ability to work within a content managment system and social media experience a plus.

Additional Skills:

Strong attention to technical detail
Video production experience required
Experience in television studio production and field production
Experience working Google suite or Microsoft office products, Adobe Creative Cloud and video editing software (Premiere and/or Final Cut Pro) required
Working knowledge of social media, specifically video
A good storyteller with a creative eye
Ability sticking to hard and fast deadlines
A confident, proactive self-starter
Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and possess strong interpersonal skills
Be able to work well in a team-oriented, collaborative and creative environment
Strong sense of urgency
Ability to write and produce short video segments
