Membership Assistant – Temporary through mid-July, Part-time
The Santa Barbara Museum of Art is seeking an organized, dependable person with recordkeeping competence, good customer service skills, a high level of attention to details and accuracy, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Knowledge of fundraising software Raiser’s Edge or other is an asset.
The position will assist with membership gift processing and updating of membership records while maintaining a high level of discretion and confidentiality, and assist with processing of incoming membership revenue (check and credit card transactions), coordinate receivables deposit with our Business Office, and membership fulfillment. They will issue cards and distribute ancillary membership materials and will promptly handle telephone and email inquiries. This position will prepare acknowledgement letters for signature by the Director of External Affairs and provide routine administrative and clerical support for the Membership Office, including record-keeping, filing, scanning, and maintaining membership supplies inventories. They will also assist with membership-related activities, including events staffing and on-site sales activities, on evening and weekend events may occasionally be necessary.
- The position reports to the Membership Coordinator and Gifts Processor and the Director or External Affairs as a secondary Supervisor.
- Part time of 10 – 15 hours/week through June 14th and up to 20 hours per week through July 12th, 2022.
- $18.00 per hour and paid sick leave.
- Successful Background Check is required, and proof of full vaccination and booster for COVID-19.
