FACILITATOR for ADL’s A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE® Institute

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Located in and serving the Santa Barbara, Ventura, and San Luis Obispo counties. Facilitators will lead antibias, diversity awareness workshops and bullying prevention programs for k-12 students, school staff and
parents/families on a per-diem basis virtually and in-person when permitted.

As a leading provider of anti-bias education, ADL’s A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE® Institute recognizes that
attitudes and beliefs affect actions, and that each of us can have an impact on others, and ultimately, on the
world in which we live. A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE® Institute workshops address bias, prejudice and
discrimination based on race, religion, sexual orientation, ethnicity, gender, age, national origin, and ability.
The Institute’s customizable, interactive training programs are used by schools, universities, law enforcement
agencies and community organizations throughout the United States and abroad.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Lead anti-bias, diversity awareness and bullying prevention workshops (in-person and virtually).
 Attend quarterly facilitator professional development meetings.
 Prepare for workshops and facilitation in advance.
 Provide post workshop feedback and reflection and complete timely paperwork.
 Ability to collaborate and coordinate with a co-facilitator.

QUALIFICATIONS:
 Ability to attend a week-long train-the-trainer program virtually
 Ability to complete facilitation evaluation process.
 Previous training, facilitation, or other relevant experience.
 Previous experience and/or work with anti-bias and diversity curricula or training.
 Previous experience in the education field a plus.
 Bilingual a plus.
 Proven understanding of and commitment to diversity education.
 Excellent communication skills.
 Strong facilitation and public speaking skills.
 Ability to work a flexible schedule.
 Reliable transportation.
 Reliable internet with video capability; competence in using Zoom, Microsoft and Google
resources/PowerPoint, etc.

Those selected to serve as facilitators will be independent contractors of the ADL and are paid for services on a
per diem basis, including reimbursement for all travel expenses. Most workshops are held during the day, and
during the workweek. Therefore, facilitators must have flexible schedules.
