Director of Adult Treatment Services

The Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (CADA) is seeking a Director of Adult Treatment Services to join its Behavioral Health Team in Santa Barbara.

This is a unique opportunity to work for the leading provider of life-changing treatment of adults struggling with drug and/or alcohol abuse and co-occurring mental health issues. Founded in 1949, CADA is a progressive agency that continually earns the community’s respect for its effective programs and services focused on the education, prevention and treatment of substance abuse and related mental health conditions. Its Adult Treatment Programs are in high demand with a constant waitlist, and services provided are crucial to clients, their families, and the overall health and wellbeing of the greater Santa Barbara community.

The agency is looking for a skilled and dynamic leader with both clinical and administrative experience to help plan, direct and evaluate the adult treatment programs and advance treatment services provided throughout Santa Barbara County. This includes the oversight and management of all outpatient and inpatient adult treatment services, including the outpatient program at Project Recovery, the Perinatal Program,  the Probation Report and Resource Center (PRRC), services provided under the auspices of the agency’s SB-38 (Multiple DUI) program, and the inpatient services of the Adult Residential Treatment (ARTS) program and Withdrawal Management Services.

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate must hold a master’s degree or PhD in healthcare administration, social work, psycho-social rehabilitation, psychology, counseling or related field and three years of related experience, including two years of experience in program management and/or in supervising staff.

Additionally, they must be a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT), Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Psychologist, or Registered Associate Marriage Family Therapist (AMFT), Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) or Registered Psychological Associate nearing completion of licensure requirements.

The Director of Adult Treatment Services must demonstrate the ability to select and supervise program staff (including multi-disciplinary licensed and non-licensed professionals, interns, trainees, and clerical support staff), and provide oversight of client care and documentation to meet state and local standards.
The Director of Adult Treatment Services must be able to effectively serve as an agency representative in the community and participate in various inter-disciplinary community partnerships. Of particular focus will be coordinating an outreach to program alumni and members of the local recovery community.

This is a full-time, exempt (salaried) position, with benefits including health, dental, vision and life insurance; retirement contribution; and paid time off (vacation, sick, holiday). Compensation is dependent upon prior training and experience, with higher compensation potential for a Spanish/English candidate. Salary range: $76,760- $85,208.
The Director of Adult Treatment Services is a direct report to CADA’s Executive Director. This is an in-person position required to work directly with staff and clients.
In compliance with the California Department of Health Care Services, residential treatment staff require an up-to-date Tuberculosis test the duration of employment.
