Summary of Job Details
Reporting to the Senior Managing Director of Development, Foundation Relations, the Development Coordinator, Foundation Relations is responsible for meeting complex foundation proposal and budget deadlines; drafting letters and proposals; running and distributing regular reports and analytics regarding program progress; designing and implementing communications plan and procedures for foundation donors and prospects; managing and collaborating with the Prospect Services Team on critical foundation donor prospecting projects; managing foundation prospect tracking and moves; producing stewardship reports for donors at the direction of development officers; managing stewardship campus events for foundation donors; and overseeing acknowledgement letters for foundation donors. The Development Coordinator works closely with the Prospect Services Team to analyze data as it relates to fundraising strategies for foundation prospects. Responsible for a key component of the solicitation process of major ($100K+) and principal ($1M+) foundation prospect and coordinates the annual processes of smaller foundation solicitations. Provides reports and information to the Directors and Prospect Services Team. The Development Coordinator supports all foundation donor stewardship activities in coordination with the Donor Relations & Stewardship team, including impact reporting, event coordination and management including budgets, gifts and grants processing, as well as acknowledgement letters. High level analytical duties require independence, sound judgment, creativity and the ability to perform with a thorough understanding of research ethics and the importance of confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education & experience
- Experience working in public policy and/or contracts and grants. Preferred
- Experience working in a non-profit is a plus. Preferred
- Strong organizational skills and unfailing attention to detail
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects of work.
Budgeted Salary Range: $27.16 – $31/hr.
