The Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara seeks a skilled fundraising professional to serve as Development Coordinator. The incumbent will provide administrative support to the Chief Development Officer and general administrative support as needed by the organization. The Development Coordinator will oversee all aspects of event coordination and logistics management.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Manage all aspects of event planning and execution for the Foundation countywide, including luncheons, receptions, dinners, and awards ceremonies. Duties will include preparation of invitations and invitation lists, ticket tracking, follow-up with guests, supervision of name tags/table assignments and registration, pre-event planning, invoicing, and sponsorship tracking.
  2. Oversee the coordination of volunteer interviewers; responsibilities include managing volunteer recruitment and onboarding, coordinating interview logistics, and serving as the primary liaison for donor communications related to the interview process.
  3. Prepare data, merge, print, and mail fundraising letters and materials for all fundraising appeals.
  4. Maintain professional and warm relations with donors, volunteers, and Board members.
  5. Support in the design and creation of marketing materials including invitations, programs, promotional flyers, and marketing collateral.
  6. Contribute social media content and track performance analytics.
  7. Coordinate student bio and thank you letter processes for donor engagement.
  8. Provide administrative support for Board meetings, including preparation of materials and coordination of technology as needed.
  9. Support a positive office culture by participating in the party planning committee, staff meetings, and other office events.

Secondary Responsibilities

  1. May provide administrative support for the senior staff, including special projects and reports, as needed. Responsibilities may involve exposure to sensitive information and require considerable discretion and judgment.
  2. May provide support and input for communications projects and marketing campaigns.
  3. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access.
  2. Proficient with Canva or other graphic design platforms.
  3. Able to operate standard office equipment such as phones, computer workstations, copiers, and printers.
  4. Able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
  5. Represent the Foundation to student aid recipients, donors, and others in a professional and courteous manner.
  6. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  7. Able to lift and carry 30 lbs.

 

SALARY RANGE:

$62,000-$68,000
