Position Summary

The Assistant Center Supervisor for the Recovery learning Community (RLC) is responsible for the organization and direction of the RLC designed to assist adults in their journey to mental health wellness & recovery, as well as connecting members and participants to their community.  This position promotes trauma informed wellness, recovery, empowerment, advocacy for the members and participants and is responsible for having knowledge and skills in all aspects of the RLC.  The Assistant Center Supervisor will uphold and promote the Center philosophy as well as the philosophy of TMHA in all duties performed. The RLC philosophy focuses on the individual person, their journey to wellness, providing education, empowerment, and support to help the person live the best life they choose to live.

Hours/ Salary

30 hour per week

$18.00-20.00 depending on education and/or experience. Includes a generous individual benefits package.

 

Minimum Requirements

Individuals with experience as a consumer of mental health services encouraged to apply. Completion of High School or equivalent. Some college coursework, and experience working in a human services related field. Well defined organizational and time management skills, and collaborative work style. Good judgment, decision-making, and problem solving skills. Must be Spanish bilingual/bicultural, facilitate Spanish groups and outreach in the community. Strong interpersonal skills and oral/written communication skills; well defined organizational and time management skills, and collaborative work style.

Able to work effectively with a variety of people and personality types regardless of age, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression or socio-economic level. Ability to handle intense situations, display good judgment and decision making skills, and remain calm and clearheaded under pressure. Must use reasonable precautions in the performance of one’s duties and adhere to all applicable safety rules and practices while acting in such a manner as to assure at all times, maximum safety to one’s self, fellow employees, clients, and other persons contacted through TMHA business. Conditions of employment include: Must be at least 18 years of age; possess a valid CA Driver’s License, reliable transportation, proof of auto insurance, and DMV driving record that meets TMHA’s current vehicle insurance requirements.  May be required to utilize personal vehicle and auto insurance.  Attendance is an essential function of this job that requires face-to-face interaction with clients and/or other employees. Ability to communicate with co-workers and supervisor through emails, phone calls, zoom and face to face.  Ability to possess and maintain good physical and mental health.  Comply with a T.B. assessment (possibly a TB test if needed to confirm a negative tuberculosis result) and receipt of a criminal record clearance through fingerprinting. Must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or request an exemption based on a documented medical condition advising against the vaccine or a strongly held religious belief or practice per the California Department of Public Health. Must be able to successfully complete First Aid and CPR training.
