Experience Freedom Trax with NatureTrack

Free
Organizer: NatureTrack
Posted by:Maureen 'Mo'

On Sunday, May 15, from 12 noon to 4pm, NatureTrack will be at Goleta Beach Park to introduce those who use wheelchairs to the Freedom Trax devices at no cost!  Free to try, free to feel the ocean mist on your face.  Terrific way to include your family members or friends who use a wheelchair on a beach outing. Come meet the folks at NatureTrack and see Freedom Trax in action at Goleta Beach.  Gustavo, one of the first-time Freedom Trax users put it simply, exclaiming as he whizzed down the beach, “It’s fan-tas-tic!”

NatureTrack will have up to seven Freedom Trax devices available for wheelchair users to use on a first-come, first-served basis. Please sign up online, our form is found under the Field Trips tab. This is an apparatus that quickly and easily converts a manual wheelchair into a battery-powered, all-terrain vehicle allowing those users to traverse beach sand and trails independently.

There is no cost to use the Freedom Trax, courtesy of NatureTrack, which will also have two manual wheelchairs available for transfer should your wheelchair not fit on the device.  Simple things we take for granted like being close to the ocean’s edge and navigating alongside the edge of the continent, are possible with this clever device.
