Many years ago, I learned that the answer to fighting poverty was community collaboration. No one sector (government, business, or social) could solve long-term problems like homelessness alone. The problem is complicated and requires expertise and resources from multiple partners.Ive spent the last 20 years putting this idea into action:Building affordable housing with tax credits and special financing;Implementing redevelopment with local governments;Participating in and researching small start-up programs in prisoner re-entry, childcare, food distribution, and the arts in long-neglected neighborhoods;Starting a college-track program for poor Latinx children in Barrio Logan;Developing programs in partnership with business to put people to work; and,Ending homelessness through multi-disciplinary strategies.I bring my experience with nonprofits, government agencies, businesses, and elected officials to helping you solve your problems. With a Masters Degree in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and a Masters in Family Therapy from San Diego State University, I have the skills, education and experience to help you take the next right step toward your organizations success.
