Therapy Dogs of Santa Barbara, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the well-being of individuals through animal-assisted therapy, is proud to announce the appointment of Aja Forner as the incoming Board President and the addition of Kim Lieberman as a new Board Member. These accomplished individuals bring a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to the organization’s mission, further strengthening Therapy Dogs of Santa Barbara’s ability to make a positive impact in the community.
Aja Forner has a strong background in nonprofit management and a passion for fostering the human-animal bond. Forner is well-positioned to lead the organization into its next phase of growth. Her extensive experience in strategic planning and community engagement will be instrumental in expanding the reach of Therapy Dogs of Santa Barbara’s programs and services.

Therapy Dogs of Santa Barbara is also pleased to welcome Kim Lieberman as a newly appointed Board Member. Lieberman has been actively involved with the organization as a volunteer for the past 10 years and has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to promoting the therapeutic benefits of canine companionship. Her passion for supporting therapy animals and her dedication to community service align perfectly with the values of Therapy Dogs of Santa Barbara. “I’m thrilled to be chosen to serve on the board of an organization that has been a highlight of my life for the last 10 years, enabling me to further my support for children’s literacy, mental health, wellness and humane education in our community with my loving canine partner,” says Lieberman.
