We are profoundly grateful to the Women’s Fund of Santa Barbara for their incredibly generous grant of $110,000. This is a gift that will truly change lives.
Their funding will expand our local SEE Vision Care (SVC) Program by hiring a new optometrist and administrative staff member. This will allow our Goleta clinic to open one more day each week, and our Mobile Vision Unit to serve patients one extra day each month in Carpinteria, reaching more people in need where they are.
With this expansion, over 1,000 individuals in our community will gain access to essential vision care, many for the first time in years. These are farmworkers, veterans, elders, children, parents; people whose lives will be changed by something as simple and powerful as the ability to see clearly.
This grant doesn’t just add more clinic days—it adds opportunity, resiliency, empowerment, and hope.
We are thrilled to stand alongside 10 other incredible nonprofits who received funding to create positive, lasting change across Santa Barbara County. SEE is honored to be part of this movement for a healthier, more equitable future.
To the Women’s Fund of Santa Barbara: thank you for helping us bring light, clarity, and care to those who need it most.
