The City of Santa Barbara’s annual Cultural Arts Grants application period is now open. Grant applications are due September 22nd, 2023 by 5pm.
They offer three grant programs:
- Community Arts (CA) — Grants for projects and programs uplifting arts opportunities for underserved communities and youth and helping to ensure arts access for all members of Santa Barbara’s community. Maximum funding request: up to $6,000
- Organizational Development (OD) — Grants supporting nonprofits’ capacity, sustainability, audience reach, and earned income potential. Embraces a variety of arts organizations, including multicultural and neighborhood arts. Maximum funding request: up to $18,000
- Community Events & Festivals (EF) — Support for events and festivals that contribute to the cultural vitality and promotion of the City. Maximum funding request: up to $15,000 for recently developed or pilot programs and $10,000 for established events or festivals
New and returning applicants can attend upcoming informational sessions (mandatory for new applicants), both in person and online, to learn more about the application process.
