Looking for ways to make an impact on climate change in your own community and/or organization? The Community Environmental Council’s Climate Stewards certification program is a great place to start! An eight-week course focused on the work being done throughout California’s Central Coast region to address and alleviate climate impacts, the course is offered in partnership with the UC Office of Agriculture and Natural Resources’ Environmental Stewards program. Through this course, you will gain access to climate action resources and opportunities to join the movement – and come away with a better understanding of the psychology and science behind climate change, the tools necessary to forge greater community connections, and the knowledge to communicate the climate crisis effectively.

CEC Is Building a Community of Climate Stewards
As a graduate of CEC’s Climate Stewards certification program, you will be better equipped to play an active role in the statewide effort to advance rapid and equitable solutions to the climate crisis in your community—and make a positive impact throughout the Central Coast. And you will join a committed network of alumni doing incredible things. For example, several Climate Stewards developed climate-focused curricula for four public museums and conservation centers along the Central Coast last year. These groups are educating more than 3,000 individuals each year on how to take action, creating powerful ripple effects of grassroots climate leadership.
