The event will feature nonprofit leader, adventure seeker, and author of My Wild and Precious Life, Keynote speaker, Cynder Sinclair.
Compassionate Care of Carpinteria (CCC) will hold their 3rd Annual The Light Shines Ahead virtual event on Wednesday, October 6 from 6:00-7:00 P.M. PDT. The event will be free and will feature Ph.D., nonprofit leader, adventure seeker, and author of My Wild and Precious Life, Cynder Sinclair as their keynote speaker.
Cynder will deliver an uplifting presentation of her life’s journey and how Hospice of Santa Barbara eased her grief after her father’s sudden death and provided support to her entire family while her son was dying of cancer and after his death. She is an inspiration to be a light in the darkness.
Before coming to Santa Barbara, Cynder led the San Joaquin County Child Abuse Prevention Council and founded two local nonprofits to meet the needs of farmworker families in the San Joaquin Valley. Cynder is also the founder of and lead consultant for Nonprofit Kinect, providing consulting services for nonprofits in the areas of board leadership, fund development and capacity building as well as executive coaching for nonprofit leaders in transition.
“We are very excited Cynder Sinclair will be the Keynote Speaker for the 3rd Annual The Light Shines Ahead event,” said David Selberg, CEO of Hospice of Santa Barbara. “Cynder has shown great strength in times of loss and we know her presentation will inspire all who attend.”
The Light Shines Ahead is the annual fundraiser for Compassionate Care of Carpinteria, an initiative of Hospice of Santa Barbara that offers programs and services, completely free of charge, to anyone in Carpinteria grieving the loss of a loved one or struggling with a life-threatening illness.
