Chelsea Pacino Duffy Joins the Santa Barbara Education Foundation Board of Directors

The Santa Barbara Education Foundation is pleased to announce that Chelsea Pacino Duffy has joined its Board of Directors. As Executive Director of Partners in Education, Duffy brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit leadership, focusing on supporting students and families in Santa Barbara County.

Since joining Partners in Education in 2010 and becoming its Executive Director in 2014, Duffy has been instrumental in coordinating countywide services that empower students and families as they navigate school and career pathways. Under her leadership, Partners in Education, which is a nonprofit of the Santa Barbara County Education Office, has provided free computers and computer classes for families, job readiness training, paid internships for high school students, and bringing volunteer guest speakers into classrooms.

Duffy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and International Relations from the University of San Diego and a Certificate in Organizational and Leadership Coaching from Northwestern University. She is also a proud past participant in the Emerging Leaders Program, offered through Leading From Within.

“As a board member and public school parent, I will get to be a small part of making my children’s experiences, and their peers’ experiences, even more meaningful,” shared Duffy. “My own work at Partners in Education involves much community collaboration and connecting dots to solve problems—I am excited to bring these experiences to the table and to see how I can best serve.”

Founded in 1985, the Santa Barbara Education Foundation promotes private support of Santa Barbara’s public education system, serving over 12,500 students in 21 schools. For more information, visit santabarbaraeducation.org.
