Cancer Foundation Welcomes Local Oncologist Dr. Daniel Greenwald to Board of Trustees

Santa Barbara, CA – The Cancer Foundation of Santa Barbara has welcomed a new trustee, Dr. Daniel Greenwald, to its board. The volunteer board of trustees focuses exclusively on fulfilling the Foundation’s mission to ensure the availability of superior cancer care and patient support services for all residents of Santa Barbara County.

Dr. Daniel Greenwald is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist who has been practicing in Santa Barbara since 2007. Upon arriving in Santa Barbara, he joined a medical oncology group affiliated with the Cancer Center of Santa Barbara. He specializes in treating all types of cancer, utilizing molecular and genomic sequencing to personalize treatment plans. Passionate about research and clinical trials, he has played a key role in bringing innovative cancer care to the community. He serves as Director of the Tumor Board and Oncology Education at Cottage Hospital and collaborates with UC Santa Barbara’s research labs. Since 2021, he has directed the UCLA Hematology Oncology site in Santa Barbara. Dr. Greenwald earned his medical degree and completed his residency and fellowship at Stanford University.
