Blanca Mejia Joins Family Service Agency Board of Directors

Family Service Agency (FSA) of Santa Barbara County, also known as Santa Maria Valley Youth and Family Center and Guadalupe’s Little House By The Park, is pleased to announce the appointment of Blanca E. Mejia to its Board of Directors.

“We are thrilled Blanca has joined our board,” said Executive Director Lisa Brabo, “Our agency will benefit from her background in law and her understanding of the Santa Maria community.”

Blanca is a practicing attorney at Twitchell & Rice, LLC in Santa Maria. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminology from California State University at Fresno and received a Doctor of Jurisprudence and Master of Legal Studies from San Luis Obispo College of Law. Blanca practices in civil litigation, estate planning, probate, and landlord/tenant law. She previously served as a police officer for approximately six years, with the Fresno Police Department, Arroyo Grande Police Department, and San Luis Obispo Police Department.

Blanca grew up in Guadalupe, California with her four younger siblings. She now lives in Santa Maria with her husband and three dogs and enjoys being able to serve local business owners, individuals, and families in their time of need through the practice of law.

“I hope to continue helping the Santa Maria community by supporting and participating with life changing organizations, such as the Family Service Agency,” said Ms. Mejia.

                                                                                                                     

Family Service Agency of Santa Barbara County (FSA) is a nonprofit social service agency that has served the people of Santa Barbara County since 1899.
