Jodi House Appoints Megan Charney as Program Specialist

SANTA BARBARA, Calif., June 7, 2022 — Jodi House, Santa Barbara’s only service provider exclusively serving brain injury survivors, is excited to welcome Megan Charney as Program Specialist.

“We are so excited to have Megan’s support at Jodi House,” said Manvir Sandher, Program Manager for Jodi House. “She is enthusiastic about her new role and is a great fit with the members of Jodi House. She is eager to begin leading our Day Program classes and has so much to offer to the program and members!”

Megan Charney is a Northern California native, hailing from Napa Valley. She attended California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo and graduated in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in viticulture. After working for a few years in the wine industry, she changed career paths and became a behavioral therapist for children on the autism spectrum. Megan heard about Jodi House and started volunteering in 2021 before becoming a case management intern in January 2022. Megan always enjoyed being able to sit in on classes with members, which led her to applying for the Program Specialist position.

“I loved getting to see all of the Jodi House members and their camaraderie and being able to gain experience in the TBI community,” Megan said of her connection to Jodi House. “I also love that everyone at this organization is so nice and welcoming to everyone.”

Megan joins the staff of Jodi House, a 40-year-old organization that empowers brain injury survivors to not merely survive, but thrive, by supporting their physical, cognitive and behavioral recovery, regardless of the ability to pay. Jodi House is the only nonprofit organization in Santa Barbara County exclusively providing rehabilitation, community reintegration, and case management services to adult survivors of brain surgery.
