OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE
We’re looking for a full-time Director of Family Wellness Programs to oversee the Wellness Coordination Center and work with community partners to coordinate referrals, remove barriers, and connect youth and families in a timely manner to mental health and wellness services that meet their needs.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- PROGRAM DIRECTOR: Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Wellness Coordination Center and Support Groups which includes managing staff, program budgets, meeting grant goals, and communication with grant partners. Develop long and short-term goals that align with YouthWell’s strategic plan. Foster a spirit of teamwork and collaboration.
- FAMILY CARE COORDINATOR – Develop a relationship and build trust with the family in order to act as an advocate on behalf of the parents and youth. Identify and share resources related to mental health that are applicable to the family’s needs, and address any barriers to accessibility. Cultivate partnerships and actively engage with YouthWell partners, schools, pediatricians, mental health providers, and families.

- SUPPORT GROUPS – Oversee YouthWell’s (non clinical) support groups for parents, teachers, and youth working with community partners.
REQUIREMENTS
- Masters or Bachelors degree in a related field preferred.
- Two years of management experience with some nonprofit background preferable.
- Mental Health First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Ability to communicate and work with youth, young adults, and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability and willingness to work occasional nights and weekends to accommodate youth and family schedules
- Compassionate listening skills. Knowledge of youth developmental issues. Demonstrated ability to handle complex family situations and dynamics. Ability to make initial assessments and use this information to make strong referrals. Understanding of the ethical and legal issues involved in the provision of clinical services. Demonstrate effective professional boundaries and self-care measures.

SALARY & HOURS
- $66,500 – $72,800 DOE
- Status: Full-Time Exempt – 40 hrs week
- Position is in-person and includes minimal driving. Occasional nights and weekends.
