Full-time housing locator and Rapid Rehousing case manager to assist families living in Transition House’s homeless programs with securing and maintaining permanent housing.
Ideal candidate will have the ability to:
- communicate and negotiate with rental property owners and managers to place client families into housing,
- maintain case files that meet federal and City of Santa Barbara requirements,
- direct family households in crafting a realistic plan to reach housing stability,
- assist clients in creating household budgets and gathering documentation,
- connect clients to services in our community.
Schedule includes some evenings at the shelter.
Bilingual in English and Spanish required. College degree or equivalent experience necessary. Previous human services experience desired. Knowledge of local social services is a plus. Excellent written and organizational skills required.

We follow a 36-hour work week, closing at 1:00 every Friday. Pet friendly work environment.
